I love having the robins overwinter here too! They seem not to mind the cold so much as we... they stay for the food... here they munch on the dreaded bitter sweet along the forests edge and my crabapples seem to catch their eye. I sure could use some new simple blue bird houses... yes I see them around here too in winter... checking out the old houses... when the tree swallows return in spring there is always a fuss... so me thinks I must put up more housing. Any suggestions? ;>) Carol

We see the robins every winter and invariably get the, "Can't have been robins. They don't hang around here in winter!"
Well, yeah, they do.
I got a not-so-good pic of the bluebirds outside my window last month, also.
It does seem to be a rather 'birdy' winter this year.
